Smart Grid communication career pathway development for Manufacturing sector
Southwest Tech plans to: 1. To identify skill sets (competencies) required by manufacturing personnel to perform the networking and troubleshooting of machinery and mechanical systems to each other and to the smart grid. 2. To align competencies from the Electro-mechanical and IT Networking program courses into sequenced training modules that will enable manufacturing employees to ladder from unskilled or semi- skilled jobs to highly skilled jobs needed to perform smart grid communication functions. We will be working with manufacturing: both those who manufacture electrical motor control center equipment and those who manufacture energy.

Criminal Justice Chunking/Laddering
Nicolet will propose to work in collaboration with the WDOJ to chunk the Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement AAS into a laddered sequence of credentials that includes a one-year technical diploma (CJ – Corrections), an AAS (CJ-Law Enforcement), and a pair of Advanced Technical Certificates (Correctional Office Certifiability-Jail Academy and Correctional Office Certifiability-Law Enforcement Academy).

Auto Technician and Building Trades
Moraine Park Technical College is interested in leading the Auto Technician I-BEST project. Moraine Park Technical College is also interested in the Building Trades I-BEST program and would be interested in either leading or being a partner in this project.
